Muskuykuna Wasi (that in Inca language, ¨quechua¨, means ¨house of dreams¨) is located in the old part of the town of Cusco, three streets away from Plaza de Armas, the old market of San Pedro and the train station to go to Macchu Picchu, equidistant from all of them.
It is a house of 198 squared mts of republican architectural style and restored in 2006 that contains three bedrooms, three bathrooms, kitchen, sitting and dinning rooms and patio; remarkable features as follows:
-
Bedrooms: two ones with double bed and one with two single beds, all of them with wooden floors and thick walls which, as a matter of interest, help to keep them warm when the weather is cold.
-
Bathrooms: two are located in the bedrooms, the other one in the patio, opposite the twin beds room. All of them large and equipped appropriately
-
Kitchen: marble made and fully equipped with electrical household appliances for a comfortable stay.
It seemed to us interesting enough to assign a fourth room for reading; thus, there is a cosy and quite atmosphere for that purpose.
Finally, we can not miss the patio which has a stoned fountain in it and it is the perfect spot where to sunbathe and admire the awesome Andean sky.
We have decorated the house with typical handicrafts of Cusco and Antics we have been finding in small markets of local communities closed to Cusco, other than beautiful souvenirs from our trips across the Andes.
This is a house to enjoy tranquillity; however, as it is seated in the old part of town of Cusco, it allows you to access to many nearby restaurants, banks,, museums, squares and bars. In other words, it is a retreat in the midst of the surrounding energy of such a magic Inca city. |
